Welcome to the Taylor Tri! The Taylor Tri’s mission is to bring good times, fitness, and community to the San Diego area, the birthplace of the triathlon and capitol of chill attitudes. We strive to bring these two atmospheres together while hopefully raising a little money for the benefit of others.

[ Origin Story ]

The Taylor Tri was established in 2021. It was a product of, this is gonna sound cliche, love. Girl Taylor wanted to test her skills at a triathlon, but most were cancelled due to the pandemic. So the Taylors planned their own sprint triathlon at Glorietta Bay in Coronado. Clad in spandex and drenched in sweat, Boy Taylor thought this was the ideal time to drop to one knee and ask for Girl Taylor’s hand in marriage. Awhhh isn’t that sweet!

Since the first inception of the race, we have wanted to build an atmosphere of both inclusivity and competition. Traditional triathlons, or races of any sort, can be intimidating. We wanted to eliminate any sense of ego and replace it with a heavy dose of chill vibes. Whether this is your first triathlon or your 100th, you are welcome here. It is a choose your own adventure: if you want to only do one portion, no problem, if you want to do it all, have at it, and if you want to just watch and hangout, we’d love to have you!

[ TESTIMONIALS ]

"The vibes were so epic, and the people were my people. The only downside is that Taylor destroyed me when I tried to keep up with him. Come for the vibes, race for the win…or not in my case."

Peyton Adams, brother of Taylor
